ORD Admirals Club Lounges – Which Is Best? [2024]
Chicago O’Hare International Airport is one of American Airlines’ major hubs, which means there are plenty of lounge options at the airport. In fact, there are 16 airport lounges in Chicago, and three of them are an Admirals Club. American Airlines also operates a Flagship Lounge at O’Hare. All of these are located in Terminal 3.
A couple of weeks ago, I flew to Chicago and Philly to rank Admirals Clubs at the two airports (I found a cheap ticket via Google Flights!).
Thanks to my Citi AAdvantage Executive card, I was able to access every Admirals Club in Chicago and rank them for this article. Let’s dive in!
Concourse H/K Admirals Club
The Concourse H/K Admirals Club is the best Admiral’s Club in Chicago, mainly due to the size and style of the lounge. It is the largest of the three Admirals Club at O’hare and shares space with American’s Flagship Lounge (located on a separate floor, with different access requirements). The Councourse H/K Admirals Club is centrally located in Terminal 3 between Concourse H and K. It has plenty of seating. In addition to amenities like complimentary warm snacks and a full bar, the Concourse H/K Admirals Club also has showers, conference rooms, and a space exclusively for kids. Made-to-order food is also available and can be ordered at the bar for an extra charge.
Amenities
- Complimentary snacks and beverages
- Full-service bar
- Wi-Fi
- Kids Room
- Showers

Concourse L Admirals Club
The Concourse L Admirals Club is a great choice, depending on how busy it is. It feels small as you enter but opens up nicely as you continue into the club towards the bar area with large floor-to-ceiling windows. Other reviews may say the Concourse G Admirals Club is better, but I loved the bar area at this location, which is why I ranked it #2.
Amenities
- Complimentary snacks and beverages
- Full-service bar
- Wi-Fi
Concourse G Admirals Club
The Concourse G Admirals Club is a modern lounge in Terminal 3, close to the American’s regional departure gates. In terms of amenities, it is very similar to the Concourse L Club—the same variety of complimentary snacks and beverages are served here. If you are flying out of Concourse G, there’s really no need to venture out to the other clubs as they are a bit of a walk away.
Amenities
- Complimentary snacks and beverages
- Full-service bar
- Wi-Fi
Closing Thoughts
I was impressed with the Admirals Clubs in Chicago (especially after exploring the Admirals Clubs in Philadelphia). American has done a great job at keeping the clubs modern and inviting. While the Concourse H/K Admirals Club is arguably the best, you can’t go wrong if you spend time closer to your gate at the Concourse L or Concourse G Admirals Clubs. All of the Admirals Clubs in Chicago have full bars and serve complimentary snacks and warm food.
