Hilton Garden Inn Pearland, TX Review [2023]
Hilton Garden Inn Pearland is located in the Houston suburb of Pearland, Texas, off Route 288 near Shadow Creek Ranch. It is three miles from Pearland Town Center. The hotel has a full-service restaurant, outdoor pool, and an attached conference center. We stayed here in November 2023 while visiting family for Thanksgiving.
Booking My Stay at Hilton Garden Inn Pearland
Like most of our hotel stays, I booked our stay directly at Hilton.com so we can maximize our Hilton Honors Diamond benefits which we have thanks to our American Express Hilton Aspire card. There are a couple of other Hilton properties in the Pearland area but we chose this one due to its location. We paid cash for our room this time — our room rate was around $125 per night.
Hilton Garden Inn Pearland Location & Parking
Hilton Garden Inn Pearland is located south of Houston off Route 288 near Shadow Creek Ranch. Pearland Town Center is three miles away, and the William P. Hobby (HOU) airport can be reached in about 25 minutes (the hotel is 13 miles from the airport). Downtown Houston is about 17 miles away (be mindful of tolls in traffic if you’re looking to explore).
I really liked that Hilton Garden Inn Pearland has ample free parking. Parking is available in the front and behind the hotel. The parking lot is well-lit as well!
Hilton Garden Inn Pearland Lobby & Check-In
We felt welcomed as soon as we walked through the doors. The hotel lobby area is warm and welcoming. There are two main entrances – one for the hotel and the other for the conference center. Rooms can easily be reached from either entrance but the conference center entrance may be locked in the evenings.
While we checked in on the Hilton app to select our room prior to arrival, we had a couple of questions so we stopped at the front desk upon arrival. The staff was friendly and also explained how the dining credit worked (Hilton Honors Gold and Diamond members get $10 per person per day (up to two guests that can be used for any food or beverage purchase except alcohol).
King Room at Hilton Garden Inn Pearland
We had a standard King Room and it was fine for what it was. The room felt somewhat dated but everything else was fine for the most part. The bed was comfortable, the shower was perfect, and we couldn’t hear people in other rooms. I slept great! We did notice a minor lingering odor which I noticed was mentioned in other reviews as well. It didn’t bother us enough to switch rooms, though. We also appreciated that the hotel offers daily housekeeping.
Dining at Hilton Garden Inn Pearland
As I mentioned earlier, the hotel offers a $10 daily dining credit for Hilton Honors Gold and Diamond members. This is offered for up to two guests per day for the duration of your stay.
Since we were visiting family for Thanksgiving, we only had breakfast once at the hotel.
The hotel has a solid breakfast menu. While they offer a breakfast buffet, I recommend ordering from the cooked-to-order menu. The buffet menu is light – mainly cereals and fruit – and costs $15.
We both ordered a three-egg omelet which is “filled your way.” They had plenty of fillings to choose from – including bacon, ham, cheese, and a variety of veggies. The omelet was $13. While that did exceed our daily dining credit, we felt it was worth the upgrade.
The hotel also offers room service so you can order breakfast or dinner to your room.
Amenities at Hilton Garden Inn Pearland
Hilton Garden Inn Pearland is a mid-size hotel so they have just about everything you can think of for amenities. The hotel has an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, an impressive fitness center, on-site coin laundry, a business center, and a convention center. Coffee is offered in the lobby throughout the day.
Final Thoughts
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hilton Garden Inn Pearland and will likely stay there again next time we’re in town! We liked the location and appreciated that the property was quiet. The room wasn’t luxurious but it offered everything we wanted (comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and quiet!). The hotel staff were all friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The on-site dining was convenient and it was easy to use our daily dining credit.
