Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort Review [2023]
The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort is an all-suite resort facing the Atlantic ocean in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Just seven miles from the Fort Lauderdale (FLL) Airport, this Hilton is a great option if you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway at the beach!
I visited towards the end of September 2023 to celebrate my 30th birthday!
Booking The Room
Overall, we got a great deal for this hotel, mainly thanks to my Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card. We were able to take advantage of a few benefits for our stay: 1) a free night certificate, 2) a $250 resort credit, and 3) Hilton Honors Diamond Status. Our three-night stay was about $500 after everything.
We booked directly on Hilton’s website, but we did need to call in to redeem our free night certificate. This meant we technically had two reservations but the hotel was able to link them together, and we were able to stay in the same room for the entire trip!
Checking In
We weren’t able to check in on Hilton’s app like we usually do at this hotel. It wasn’t just us – the hotel requires a visit to the front desk for all guests it sounded like. At the front desk, we were offered a paid oceanfront suite upgrade for a small fee. We declined as we were happy with the complimentary oceanview suite upgrade we scored with our Diamond status.
The Room
We were upgraded to a 1 Bedroom Oceanview Suite on the 18th floor, on the North side of the hotel (next to the neighboring Conrad Hotel).
Sadly, I didn’t take a photo of the living room and studio kitchen!
Dining at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort
The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort has three on-site restaurants:
- Le Marché (breakfast and lunch)
- ilios (lunch and dinner)
- Sun, Surf and Sand (dinner)
Thanks to our Diamond Status, we received $30 per day ($15/person) to use at Le Marché. Le Marché sells Starbucks coffee and cold-pressed juice, along with decent food options like breakfast burritos, flatbreads, and avocado toast.
We didn’t have a chance to try Sun, Surf and Sand but we stopped into ilios for a quick lunch one day. It was decent like Le Marché but wasn’t anything to write home about. We may have had a better experience if the bartender cut off a belligerently drunk guest earlier. Oh well, he was having a good time and enjoying his Miami Vice cocktails 😅
Closing Thoughts
I enjoyed my stay at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort! I scored the best suite upgrade that I have had for holding Hilton Honors Diamond Status during my stay here, which really was a treat since I was spending time here on my 30th birthday. I absolutely loved the room and the ocean views. While the dining credit didn’t go super far, it was appreciated in the morning for Starbucks coffee. We didn’t spend much time at the hotel’s pool and opted for the ocean across the street instead.
