Delta First Class Meals w/ Photos & Descriptions
One of my favorite things about flying First Class on Delta is the onboard experience — specifically a hot meal! Delta changes its menu throughout the year, but some items come back, so I wanted to document the various Delta First Class meals and review the ones I’ve tried.
Classic Cheeseburger
Description: Beecher’s Just Jack cheese, pickles, brioche bun. Served with fresh fruit.
Rating: 6/10
Notes:Β This was a fun idea in theory, but the bun was hard, and the burger didn’t have much flavor.
Thai Green Curry Chicken Thighs
Description: Jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables. Served with a side salad and balsamic vinaigrette.
Rating: 8/10
Notes: This was a fantastic dish! It reheated well on the plane, and the sauce ensured the chicken wasn’t dry. I would order this again.
Classic Beef Lasagna
Description: Beef lasagna covered in Bianco di Napolli tomato sauce. Served with a side salad and balsamic vinaigrette.
Rating: 6/10
Notes: This was fine. It should have been heated longer and it had too much sauce for me.
Baked Mac-N-Cheese
Description: Toasted garlic breadcrumbs, broccollini. Served with a chopped salad.
Rating: 5/10
Notes: I was excited to try this one but was dissapointed with the lack of flavor. Seriously, it didn’t taste like much of anything.
Neapolitan Style Pepperoni Pizza
Description: Served with a mixed green salad and balsamic vinaigrette.
Rating: 7/10
Notes: This was a fun one to try! While it doesn’t look great in the picture, it was actually a solid pizza for being served on a plane. I would order this for lunch again.
Braised Beef Short Rib
Description: Classic beef short rib served with a ed wine sauce with roasted potatoes, carrots, and shallot
Rating: 8/10
Notes: This was one of the better First Class meals I’ve had on Delta. They did a great job with the presentation and it tasted great. I enjoyed the dessert, too!
