Review: Qantas Lounge London Heathrow Airport
I had a chance to visit the Qantas International Lounge at London Heathrow Airport in Terminal 3 in early July 2024 while I waited for my delayed American Airlines 787-9 flight to Chicago. Luckily for me, the lounge was quiet when I stopped in, so I was able to snag some excellent photos for this review!
Qantas Lounge London Location & Hours
The Qantas International Lounge in London is easy to find, alongside the central lounge passageway in Terminal 3 at Heathrow. Qantas takes up the Lounge B spot — between Cathay Pacific and the No.1 Lounge.
The entrance is on the lower level, along with a bar and dining room. A brass-gilded staircase takes you to the second floor, where most of the lounge space is — including another bar, buffet, showers, and plenty of seating.
The lounge is currently open daily from 8 am to 9 pm.
Qantas Lounge London Access Requirements
You don’t need to be flying Qantas to access their lounge in London. In fact, there are a few different ways to be eligible.
One of the following needs to be true to enter:
- Traveling in Business or First Class on Qantas Airways
- Traveling in Business or First Class on another oneworld airline or Emirates
- Traveling in any class on a oneworld airline with Sapphire or Emerald Status
- Qantas Frequent Flyer members – Chairman’s Lounge, Platinum One, Platinum, and Gold
- Qantas Club members
- Emirates Platinum and Gold Skywards members
You can also bring a guest if you are eligible to enter.
Qantas Lounge London Food & Beverage
The Qantas Lounge in London has two dining areas: a la carte downstairs and an all-day dining buffet upstairs.
Qantas’ All Day Dining included pasta, stew, soup, and various salads. The pasta didn’t look great, so I tried the stew and was pleasantly surprised!
Unfortunately, only the upstairs area was open during my visit, so I didn’t try the a la carte dining experience (check out One Mile at a Time to read Ben’s review).
They also serve a variety of juices (missing in this picture), coffees, and teas:
Qantas Lounge London Seating
Qantas did a great job designing this lounge! I loved the seating; there were excellent views, depending on where you sat.
Qantas Lounge London Shower
After my 5-hour flight from Cairo, I decided a shower sounded nice!
The Qantas Lounge in London has several shower suites, available on a first-come, first-served basis. I was impressed with the size and design of the shower facilities.
There was plenty of room to change, and I loved that there was both a mounted and moveable showerhead! It was quite nice.
Closing Thoughts
I was impressed with the Qantas International Lounge in London! The facility still feels new, there is plenty of seating, and I loved the shower facilities. I wasn’t able to try their a la carte dining but the food upstairs was fine for a light bite. This is a great lounge option if you have oneworld Sapphire or Emerald status, but don’t hesitate to check out other lounges in Terminal 3. I recommend Cathay Pacific’s lounge next door if you’re hungry and a la carte dining is unavailable.
