Review: Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse New York (JFK)
I flew Virgin Atlantic from New York to London a few weeks ago, and thanks to my Delta status, I could access the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse before my evening flight across the pond! This was my first time in a Virgin Atlantic lounge, and I was excited to check it out! I have heard great things over the years.
Did it live up to my expectations? Let’s dive in!
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Location & Hours
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at New York’s JFK Airport is located in Terminal 4, in the A Gate area, near A4 and A5. The entrance is easy to miss as it is on the second floor, above the main terminal area, so keep your head up while walking around the terminal!
The lounge is open Monday – Sunday from 5AM – 8AM and 3PM – 10:30PM.
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Entry Requirements
There are several ways to access the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in New York:

The lounge has fantastic views of the gates Virgin Atlantic uses…
There is plenty of seating in the dining area (and you can order food by scanning a QR code, which I’ll cover more in the next section)…
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Food & Drinks
The food and drinks were my favorite part of the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in New York. There is no buffet—everything is a la carte, the bar serves fun signature cocktails, and it’s all complimentary!
I first tried the Clubhouse chicken burger. It came overloaded with a “signature sauce” that tasted like mayo. I wasn’t a fan of the sandwich, but the chips (french fries) were nice. I decided to order something else!
I ordered the pan fried sea bass next, with a side of cut veggies, and a Virgin Redhead cocktail which mixes prosecco, berry liqueurs, Bombay Sapphire gin, and raspberries… so tasty and much better!
I decided to order one more dish before I left to my gate. Someone next to me ordered the fruit and cheese plate. I thought it looked good, so I ordered it myself. The bread and jam were tasty!
Here is the entire dinner and drink menu…
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Restrooms & Showers
Several shower rooms are available (down a groovy-looking hallway) at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in New York. They are located in the center-back of the lounge, past the bar.
The shower was great, and the room had plenty of space, but the floor seemed a bit dirty. Slippers or sandals would have been nice!
I really liked that they use Aveda products! The Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner are my favorites.
Closing Thoughts
I enjoyed my visit to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in New York! Considering how busy the other lounges are at JFK, it may even be my favorite lounge at the airport. The lounge has British vibes, which helps set the tone for your travels if you’re headed to the UK. The service was excellent, and I loved the a la carte menu and signature drinks – I recommend trying the Virgin Redhead!
