Review: Virgin Atlantic Revivals Lounge London Heathrow (LHR)
The Virgin Atlantic Revivals Lounge in London is an arrivals lounge in Terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport. Unlike most lounges you access before your flight, this lounge is located after customs and helps you refresh after a long transatlantic flight.
I was impressed with the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in New York, so I was eager to check out this lounge once I arrived in London. Thanks to my Delta Platinum Medallion Status, I was able to access both of these lounges even though I flew Economy.
Revivals Lounge Location & Hours
The Virgin Atlantic Revivals Lounge is above the Arrivals Hall in Terminal 3 at London’s Heathrow Airport, a short walk past customs.
The Arrivals Hall is busy. After passing through customs, look for the Caffe Nero coffee shop, and take the elevator or stairs to the second floor. Virgin Atlantic’s Revivals Lounge at the top!
If you take the stairs, the Revivals Lounge will be behind you. If you take the elevator, it will be to your right.
Currently, the Revivals Lounge is open daily from 5AM β 12:30PM.
Revivals Lounge Entry Requirements
Virgin Atlantic is strict with its entry requirements for the Revivals Lounge.
- Passengers traveling in Business Class on Virgin Atlantic or Delta Air Lines
- Passengers with Flying Club Gold status arriving on a Virgin or Delta flight
- Passengers with Delta SkyMiles Diamond or Platinum Medallion status arriving on a Virgin or Delta flight from the U.S.
- Passengers with Virgin Australia Velocity Club Platinum or Beyond status arriving on a Virgin flight
That’s right. The Virgin Atlantic Revivals Lounge doesn’t offer access to those solely with SkyTeam Elite+ status (like Delta Gold Medallions, who can access Virgin departure lounges), so don’t even think about trying to use Priority Pass for this lounge.
Revivals Lounge Space & Seating
The Virgin Atlantic Revivals Lounge is small but functional. It isn’t designed for an extended stay but rather a short visit to refresh.
As you enter the lounge, the latest newspapers are available…
The space opens up a bit, with a variety of seating for individuals, couples, and larger groups or families…
There is also seating at the bar…
Or, there’s also a quiet room if you prefer a place to work…
Revivals Lounge Food & Drinks
Most of the food and drinks at the Virgin Atlantic Revivals Lounge are a la carte, and you order by scanning the QR code at your table.
I love fresh juice (so I ordered two!), coffee, and eggs benedict for something to eat…
Here was the breakfast menu at the time of my visit:
If you want a pastry, fruit, or a glass of juice or water, light snacks are also set out towards the entrance.
Revivals Lounge Restrooms & Showers
My favorite part of the Revivals Lounge is the showers.
Seriously… after an overnight flight in economy, it felt great to rinse off before meeting up with friends for lunch.
They are to the left of the lounge as you enter and down a curved hallway…
The shower rooms have plenty of space!
The room felt clean, too! (The floor in the shower at the JFK Clubhouse felt dirty last night…)
Aveda’s Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner are stocked…
Closing Thoughts
The Virgin Atlantic Revivals Lounge in London is a treat… I thoroughly enjoyed my visit! The staff was helpful and attentive, and the breakfast menu was tasty. Most importantly, it was great to shower to refresh after flying overnight. The water pressure was great and I love Aveda products! Unfortunately, Virgin has strict entry requirements for the Revivals Lounge, so I probably won’t be returning often unless I fly business class or maintain my Platinum Delta Medallion status.
